Spatial Analytics

Expiring leases, newly permitted wells, inefficient reservoir drainage, water migration are all examples of potential problems or potential opportunities. Identifying a problem or knowing when to act on an opportunity is difficult in the static world of spreadsheets, charts and maps.
Often the data necessary for an effective evaluation resides across multiple sources both internal and external to the organization. Yet it is this interrelationship of data that “completes the picture” in the decision making process. An expiring lease is interesting but far more relevant when it is contiguous with your own lease.
Companies which incorporate spatial analysis as part of their workflow, over federated internal and external data sources, will have more information for making better, more timely decisions and thus derive significant competitive advantage.
petroWEB’s Spatial Analytics application provides an intuitive, easy to use toolset that can be used to perform spatial analysis across multiple data sources both internal and external.

No advanced understanding of the data sources or structures or knowledge on relating disparate data sources is required.
Using the spatial toolset, data can be quickly and easily interrogated and then visualized for results of the analysis.
A full spectrum of analysis is available, from simply color coding wells based on operator to highly specific workflows such as Injection/Disposal Permit maps or Expiring Lease buffer searches. Key however, is the Spatial Analytics application provides the geotechnical user with an arsenal of tools to look for patterns and relationships against both internal and external data sources.
